William J. Roley

William J. Roley, 93, of Fort Collins, Colorado, died peacefully at home on May 3, 2024. A Recitation of the Rosary will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2024, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Collins, followed by a reception in Meredith Hall, Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow the reception at Grandview Cemetery, Fort Collins, Colorado. Mass of Christan Burial will be livestreamed through Saint Joseph's website and their YouTube link:

William Joeseph Roley was born March 19,1931 in Pueblo, Colorado to W.I and Nellie Roley. Bill spent his childhood in Rye, Colorado. He attended and was a boarder at Regis High School and upon graduation continued his Jesuit education at Regis College, graduating in 1953. Bill and Alice had their first date on April 24, 1948, at the Regis Prom. They were married on August 2, 1952 at Saint Francis De Sales Church. They moved to Fort Collins in 1964 and established their first of many Card and Gift stores.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife Alice of 71 years. Bill is survived by their five children, Dennis Roley, Mary Roley (Todd Kelly, deceased), Carol Roley-Buchanan (Kris), Nancy Roley-Cooper (Scott), and Marc Roley (Jennifer) as well as their seven grandchildren, Wil, Kate, Matt (Brianna) Buchanan; Ellen, Mitch Cooper; Michael, Alicyn Roley. Sister, Carolyn Roley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill cherished his Catholic faith, loved his family, valued education and enjoyed spending summer days on Horsetooth Lake.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Janna and Helene with Pathways Hospice, whose care and compassion gave us precious time with our parents.
