If you are arranging a funeral from out-of-town and are unfamiliar with the area, it can be hard to find a reputable hotel, florist, restaurant or event center to hold a service. The same can be true if you have friends or family traveling in for the funeral. Here we provide our staff's recommendations of trusted businesses in our area.

Venues

We are very much in the business of event planning. Thus it is important to match our families with the right space for their unique service.

Windsong Estate is our preferred venue. They are almost an extension of us. They charge a minimal fee and can setup in multiple ways for anywhere from 50 to 300 people, outdoor or indoor. They have staff to help set up food and run the reception, parking is easy, they can accommodate a slideshow, etc. They can also do bar service.

Small Spaces

  • Goes Funeral Home
  • Primrose Studio: Beautiful, natural, and in the foothills. This location is small and has limited parking. It is best for a group of 35 or less. They have a full kitchen with dishes, etc. and can be set up to your preference. No alcohol is permitted at this location.
  • Wolverine Farm: Cute coffee shop in downtown Fort Collins. Upstairs of the venue is available to rent for private events. Great for a more modern vibe, maybe a book-lover. No elevator, so not handicap accessible. Max capacity is 50 people.
  • Timberline East Auditorium: Can hold up to 100 people and the reception can take place at the same location.
  • First United Methodist Small Chapel: Very unique space, set up in an octagon and holds 50-75 people. This location has a piano and organ, as well as TVs to run a slideshow. The chapel has a kitchen and the main sanctuary is another option.

Churches

(where you don't need to be a member)

  • Revive Church, LaPorte: Very friendly location with supportive pastor.
  • Christ United Methodist, Fort Collins: Wonderful group, great space. Traditional feel, a bit dark, but nonetheless lovely. Provides a perfect setup for receptions. Can hold 200+ attendees.
  • First United Methodist: Two spaces available (venue or church). The organ adds a nice feel to the ceremony.
  • Clearwater Church: Modern style venue. Able to use this location even you don't use their pastor.
  • Timberline Church: The main church can host a very large service. Space can be rented whether or not families are members.
